New Podcast Episode: Guy Kawasaki
“The Future Is How” is more than a podcast — it’s a moment to pause, listen, and learn from remarkable people. Every episode offers a lived example of becoming future-ready — to help you create the future you want to live in.

Dear Future Friends,
Whether this Friday after Thanksgiving is filled with voices or quiet reflection, celebration or simplicity, I want to begin with something that feels true and necessary:
Thank you.
In just a few months, this NEXTletter has grown to reach thousands of curious, courageous people around the world. People who believe that the future is not something we wait for. It is something we build inside first.
Your presence matters.
Your reflection matters.
Your willingness to imagine something better matters.
Thank you for choosing curiosity over certainty.
Thank you for walking toward possibility without a perfect map.
Thank you for believing that what's next begins within you.
Gratitude is not an ending.
Gratitude is a beginning.
It is a way of seeing the world that actively shapes what comes next.
A future ready mindstate.
When we practice gratitude, we often rediscover connection. With others. With ourselves. With what is alive in us today.
What if the most important investment in your future is in the people you love?
Gratitude is one way we make that investment: outward and inward.
So wherever you are today, try this small practice:
Name one thing you are grateful for.
Name one person who supported your path this year.
Name one future you want to thank yourself for creating.
Future follows attention.
What you notice becomes what you build.
And speaking of beginnings, there was a moment years ago that shaped mine.
The first time I met Guy Kawasaki, I wasn’t at Google yet.
I was a young researcher at Stanford, riding a secondhand bike across Palo Alto, full of curiosity and very short on money. I scraped together just enough for a bus ticket to an Apple conference - and that day changed everything for me.
![]() | Guy Kawasaki is one of the world’s most influential evangelists - first for Apple, where he helped ignite the personal computing revolution, and today for Canva, where he champions the democratization of design. He is a bestselling author of more than a dozen books and the host of Remarkable People, a globally acclaimed podcast featuring some of the most extraordinary thinkers of our time. Kawasaki is world famous for making complex ideas accessible, spreading belief in bold possibilities, and inspiring millions to create a better future. |
In that hall, surrounded by thousands of people, I felt the electricity of a future being created in real time. At the end, I stood in line to get Guy’s book signed. When he handed it back to me, he didn’t just sign his name. | ![]() |
That one sentence became a spark of belief.
A quiet permission to imagine that I, too, could one day help shape the future.
Years later, I walked back into Silicon Valley - this time after 14 interviews and a “yes” from Larry Page. And now, in this special episode, I get to sit down with the person whose words helped ignite my own journey.

If you want to hear Guy’s remarkable story, what he’s learned from hundreds of extraordinary people, and how we can all practice becoming future-ready - this episode is for you.

With future love,
Frederik
